The Role:

The PLM Analyst will serve as the system Super User, owning spec and BOM creation for our 140+ live and 200+ legacy products across Amazon, Walmart, and future brick-and-mortar channels. You’ll act as the primary gatekeeper of item data and a key process liaison between Product Development, Compliance, Sourcing, and our global manufacturing base. Based remotely, you’ll work to ensure clean handoff between external parties in Asia and our teams in Asia and NA.

Success metrics include data accuracy, version control discipline, faster development timelines, and improved compliance documentation coverage.

Daily & Monthly Responsibilities

1. Spec & BOM Ownership

  •  Create and maintain Parent-level specs, purchasing SKUs, BOMs, and key attributes in the PLM system (materials, surfaces, packaging, cost inputs).
  • Track revisions with full versioning logic across NPD, compliance upgrades, and sustaining changes.

2. Data Quality & Calendar Management

  • Uphold global data standards and field-level validation rules; audit for missing, stale, or duplicated entries.
  • Support seasonal update cycles, spec finalization, and sample-triggered lock dates.
3. Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandise Planning, Compliance, Quality, Sourcing, and 3PL teams to ensure all product records meet commercialization and certification requirements.
  • Join milestone and handoff meetings to capture change requests and align dependencies.

4. System Admin & Training

  • Act as the Asia-based Super User: handle tickets, train new users, document workflows, and test enhancements.
  • Partner with U.S. team on roadmap feedback, field structure upgrades, and audit history improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years in PLM preferred, tech pack creation, or product operations, ideally in eCommerce or consumer goods.
  • PLM Expertise: Hands-on experience with PLM platforms (e.g., Centric, Bamboo Rose, Backbone, Airtable); strong grasp of product hierarchy, BOMs, and revision management.
  • Detail-Oriented: Able to manage hundreds of SKUs with high precision and clear documentation trails.
  • Excel & Systems: Strong Excel (lookup logic, data cleaning), familiarity with NetSuite or ERP platforms a plus.
  • Time Zone Fit: Based remotely, able to overlap with U.S. east coast mornings for 3–4 hours per day.
  • Mindset: Structured, systems-driven, highly organized, and excited to help build from the ground up.
