Position Snapshot 

As a Process Improvement & Project Management Intern, you’ll help transform how Gorilla Commerce operates by turning high touch, manual workflows into scalable, automated processes within Logistics. This role exists to accelerate our automation efforts and reduce manual work as we continue to grow. You’ll work cross functionally to document processes, assess automation readiness, and help bring solutions to life—leaving behind real, measurable impact.

What Your Summer Will Look Like
Our summer internship program is designed to be immersive, collaborative, and hands‑on. You’ll join a close‑knit class of interns and gain real exposure to how a growing business operates. Throughout the summer, you’ll participate in lunch‑and‑learns, connect directly with senior leaders, and have opportunities to share and present your ideas.

You won’t just be observing—you’ll be contributing meaningful work, learning how different teams partner together, and building a strong understanding of how decisions are made across the business. By the end of the summer, you’ll walk away with practical experience, new skills, and a broader perspective on what it’s like to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.


What You'll Do 

  • Identify high-volume, manual workflows and document current state processes end-to-end  

  • Create clear, standardized SOPs and process maps to support automation and scalability 

  • Evaluate process readiness for automation and identify improvement opportunities 

  • Recommend process simplifications to reduce rework and operational risk  

  • Quantify potential efficiency gains, time savings, and automation impact  

  • Partner with Operations and IT to identify appropriate automation solutions  

  • Implement and test automation using available tools, or scope timelines and requirements for IT led projects  

  • Support testing, validation, and documentation for inflight automation initiatives 


What You Bring 

Must-Haves 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

  • Ability to document processes clearly and logically  

  • Comfortable working across teams and asking thoughtful questions  

  • Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams 

  • Strong time management and organizational skills  

  • Proficiency in Excel and basic data analysis  

  • Clear written and verbal communication  

  • Comfort learning new tools and systems  

  • Detail oriented with a problem-solving mindset 

Nice-to-Haves 

  • Exposure to process improvement, automation, or operations work  

  • Interest in logistics, systems, or technology enabled solutions
